The Postal Service has postponed moving forward with Phase II of Network Rationalization.

The Postal Service filed a Federal Register notice on January 17 announcing the postponement of the implementation date for the revised service standards that were scheduled to take effect on February 1, as part of Phase II of the Network Rationalization initiative.

The new implementation date will be announced by the Postal Service in the Federal Register at least 90 days before it takes effect.  The Postal Service will continue working with its mailers and customers on this issue to ensure a smooth transition and to give customers ample time to make changes.
